**** arguably some of the most innovative and delicious tapas I’ve ever had - at Mercat a la planxa, in The Blackstone hotel. Seen are the patatas bravas, a crispy fried mashed potato with spicy paprika aioli. Also do not miss their amazing cocktails - the matador is a gin base with averna, beets, lime, thyme + gingerale. Like nothing you’ve ever had.

**** Happy Cinco de Mayo! Veggie enchiladas w/ black beans + rice from Tarascas. Best with the poblano sauce + a margarita!

**** Beretta in San Francisco - arguably one of the best meals I’ve ever had and this potato, rosemary, radicchio pizza was sadly the only photo I shot. Do not miss the walnut bread, burrata and mushroom with honey truffle oil - reason enough to get on a flight if you don’t live nearby. http://berettasf.com

**** Longman & Eagle - special treats from the exclusive vegetarian menu, to the English pea risotto with a smoked one hour egg, fiddleheads, morel mushrooms and asparagus. Wow. Don’t miss the pretzel and Welsh rarebit either.

**** limited options, but incredibly delicious ones at that. Parmesan popcorn + whiskey cocktails.

**** Santa Fe black bean cakes + poached eggs with roasted salsa from Tweet. Never disappoints.

**** Soul Bowl + Tortilla Soup from Native Foods. Veggie or not, don’t sleep on this joint. So many delicious things. Totally vegan. Lots of gluten-free.

**** Delicious buffalo chicken salad from the Chicago Diner - Logan Square

Delicious American Chinese from House of Wah Sun. Especially love the homemade sweet-n-sour sauce for the veggie egg rolls.

* cheesy grits with brussel sprout ‘hash’ and a duck egg at Graham Elliot Bistro - not exactly hash in my book and not very good overall. And with a table of 8 only 2 people liked their brunch so I don’t think it’s what I ordered.

**** Absolutely incredible flavor in this seemingly simple tofu and noodles dish from BellyQ

** regular ol’ Mexican - spinach enchiladas from El Tipico

**** Stuffed delicata squash with quinoa, brussel sprouts, wild mushrooms + spinach from Uncommon Ground

** Antique Taco - ok, but not exceptional. The kale salad was pretty good and unique.

First course of 4 course tasting Chillies menu at Green Zebra - Thai Papaya Salad
